Easter
We spent our first Easter with the other half of the Petersens.
Great food and awesome company.
Tak for mad!

Saturday morning
Saturday morning we did our typical brunch at Kvickly with Mikael. The buffet was great. Afterwards, we did a little grocery shopping and stumped by the masses that were out shopping too. The stores had been closed for two days due to it being a National Holiday, so I guess people were out shopping for their Easter Sunday meals... or just missing their normal daily spending spree.
I think Mikael was tired of me taking pictures of him.

Saturday night fun...
Last night we spent the evening with Angel, Mark, and the little twig. We had so much fun.
I met Angel at my danish Saturday classes. What makes meeting her even better is the fact that she's a fellow American. South Carolina is where she comes from. It sure is nice to have a fellow southerner in this tiny country of Denmark that we now call home.
It was our first time meeting Mark, as well as the little twig, but their welcome made us feel like old time friends.
Angel was a great hostess and remember how much I missed cornbread... so she was gracious enough to make some. *Still drooling*
Angel showed me how an Easter bread is made. I baked my own. We also colored eggs.
Here are some photos of our evening.

Helle and Jasmine
Tuesday was a pretty fun day. I had lunch with a friend from Novo. We met at Soliel restaurant that's just a few feet away from my apartment. Afterwards, I went to her place and met her daughter.
Helle and Jasmine seem to be a great working mother and daughter team.
I am glad they had welcomed me to their place and I hope to become a part of their circle of friends.
Tak Helle for frokost.

My nephew
Here are some new photos that my younger brother and sister-in-law sent me of my cutie patoutie nephew. Jr. here is the spitting image of his pops, but also has some of his mom's features... as well as my Uncle Rick. It's wild how genetic genes do their little thing.
Thanks Marcus and Mona for the photos.
I love his almond shaped eyes.

Shoegirl
Shoegirl has been a childhood friend from the old neighborhood. We kinda lost touch for some many years until she contacted me on classmates.com, to then find out that I had moved to Denmark with my daughter and husband. Despite our long-distant friendship, we seem to have been able to remain in touch with each other.
Shoegirl has left me many good memories. I so much wanted to be like her. She was so normal, had a great sense of fashion, and of course, really cool curly hair. Plus she was SUPER SMART... unlike me... who did nothing but day-dream.
Please listen or read her essay on education. She did a talk show on 88.7 KUHF, Houston Public Radio.

Valley Girl
My morning started at 3 a.m., so as I got home... just to send Kingkeld off to work... I took advantage of having the t.v. all to myself. So... I sat down to watch an old time favorite movie from my youth called VALLEY GIRL, starring a very young Nicholas Cage. I have to admit, HE WAS HOT!!!!
Oh, by the way, this movie can still hold up for an old 80's movie.
